History Of HTC

Cher Wang,   H.T. Cho, and Peter Chou HTC founded in 1997. Initially a manufacturer of notebook computers  HTC began designing some of the first contact in the world and wireless handheld devices in 1998. 

The company is credited with creating the first Android smartphone  the first power of Microsoft (2002) smartphone and the first Microsoft 3G phone (2005).

 Their first major product one of the first touchscreen smartphones in the world  published in 2000. As an ODM for HP and Palm HTC built the HP iPAQ and Palm Treo 650.

In 2007 HTC has acquired a mobile device Dopod International society.

In October 2009  HTC has launched " signature " of the quietly brilliant brand and the YOU campaign   the first global advertising campaign HTC.

In June 2010  the company launched the HTC Evo 4G  the first 4G phone supports the United States . In July 2010   HTC announced that it would begin selling smartphones in China under its own brand in partnership with China Mobile. In 2010   HTC sold over 24.6 million handsets up111% compared to 2009.

At Mobile World Congress February 16  2011   the GSM Association named HTC "Device Manufacturer of the Year " in 2011. In April 2011  the market value of the company has surpassed Nokia  this HTC smartphone the third largest manufacturer in the world behind Apple and Samsung.

On July 6  2011  it was announced that HTC would buy VIA Technologies stake in S3 Graphics   becoming the majority owner of S3 . On August 6  2011 HTC Dashwire acquired $ 18.5 million . In August 2011   HTC has confirmed a plan for a strategic partnership with Beats Electronics involving the acquisition of 51 percent shares of Beats .

On 27 September 2013   HTC announced that it has sold all remaining shares of Beats Electronics . The transaction is expected to close during the fourth quarter of 2013.The Best Global Brands 2011 ranking published by Interbrand ranked HTC # 98 and a value it at $ 3.6 billion . Based on researcher Canalys   in Q3 2011 HTC Corporation became the largest supplier of smartphones in the United States with a share of 24 percent of the market by 21 percent Samsung   Apple Inc . 20 percent and 9 percent of BlackBerry . HTC Corporation has different models for each operator.

In early 2012   HTC has lost much of its market share in the United States because of increased competition from Samsung and Apple Inc. According to the research firm comScore   HTC smartphones accounted for 9.3% of the market the United States from February 2013. Given the decline in the importance of the company 's CEO Peter Chou told officers he left in a new company flagship phone   HTC One  fails to generate impressive results sale . results for the first quarter of 2013 showed HTC 's year profit decline 98.1% over the year   making it the smallest ever result in the company - to delay the launch of the HTC One was cited as a factor. In June 2012   HTC has moved its headquarters from Taoyuan City Xindian District   New Taipei City. [Citation needed]

In August 2013   HTC has launched a new "Here to change " global marketing campaign with actor Robert Downey   Jr.  who signed a two-year contract for new HTC " initiator of change" 15. August HTC began distributing the new marketing campaign on YouTube  before the start of the schedule of the advertising campaign on television and cinema.

On 27 September 2013   HTC announced the sale of its entire stake ( 24.84 percent) in Beats Electronics. The Company entered into the transaction in the fourth quarter of 2013 and expects a $ 85 million profit before tax.

HTC A model was released in mid - 2013 and was followed by the HTC One Mini shortly after . Global sales of the HTC One were lower Galaxy S4 flagship handset from Samsung and HTC posted its first quarterly loss ever in early October 2013: a deficit of nearly NT $ 3 000 000 000 (approximately U.S. $ 100   £ 62m ) . Marketing problems were identified by HTC as the main reason for its comparative performance   a factor that had been raised by the company.

After the release of HTC One  two variants were released to form a trio for 2013 HTC One range . A smaller variant called the HTC Mini One was published in August 2013   and a larger variant named HTC One Max was published in October 2013 . Similar in design and features of the HTC One  improved aspects A Max includes a screen measuring 5.9 inches (15 cm)   a fingerprint sensor and a removable bottom for expandable memory . The product was released in the European Union and the retail environment in Asia in October 2013   followed by a U.S. launch in early November 2013.
